Molteno Drive is a narrow, coastal road in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa that once made up one of the most picturesque sections of the Prince George Race Circuit. This race circuit was the original location of the South African Grand Prix between the 1930s and 1960s. In the following years, Tiger Sports Wheels (TSW) was founded in South Africa by former Formula One racing driver, Eddie Keizan, using prize money earned on the track. The all-new TSW Molteno wheel is developed to pay tribute to both our South African roots and Formula One racing heritage. The Molteno utilizes a classic 5-spoke wheel layout that is modernized by angular spoke windows and accents. A concave wheel profile further accentuates the Molteno wheel distinctive design language. Molteno is manufactured in both staggered and non-staggered 18 inch, 19 inch, and 20 inch sizes for 5×108, 5×112, 5×114.3, and 5×120 vehicles. Standard finishes for the Molteno are Hyper Silver and Matte Black.

We believe that our wheels do more than just make the world more beautiful. We try to do more than just design good looking wheels. We believe that wheels are safety critical products and that they should be engineered to carry the weight of the vehicles that ride on them. This should never be in doubt. We believe that they should fit the vehicle perfectly and that half a millimeter does make a difference. We believe that quality matters. We don’t like to compromise because sometimes there is no room for error.
We believe we can make a difference, not because it will help us sell more wheels but because it matters to our customers and to anybody who rides on our products.
At the very core, this is who we are.
In the 1990’s TSW pioneered the race inspired hex nut look that was featured in designs such as the Revo and Hockenheim R, which have became a popular choice for both grass-roots racing and show cars.
In 2011 TSW began to manufacture many of its wheels using a highly advanced production technique called rotary forging. The rim of the wheels is forged at high pressure while the wheel is spun at high speed. This alters the molecular structure and enhances the strength of the alloy. The benefit is a much lighter weight than a regular cast wheel. The weight saving is in the outer rim of the wheel which dramatically reduces rotational mass and enhances vehicle performance.
Starting in about 2004 car manufacturers introduced more and more cars that were designed to take wider wheels on the back of the car. This became know as a staggered wheel application. Today, TSW Alloy Wheels makes the largest range of staggered wheels in the world. Many sizes carry three different widths to provide an array of fitment options. TSW has staggered wheels in sizes from 17″ through 22″.
